haha im sure you are thinking its all Lola - but we had a game little cavalier attempt to leap up to the kitchen worktop and steal a roast chicken carcass

just more a general question as can you ever really train a dog to not steal food if they can get away with it

We wouldnt let Lola in the kitchen on her own if food was out cos she could reach it - just wondered if there was a way you could really discourage a dog from stealing food it was able to?

yes... its possible, eg.. when I introduce dogs to clickers, one of the first things I train once the dog understands the click is food refusal. BUT.. in theory it may not work if your out the room when the dog does it. For that you would have more of a problem.

I am hoping to do a set of intro to clicker training vids for the forum, so will cover all that sort of stuff in them. It will also cover how to stop other bad behaviour such as jumping up with the clicker as well as tricks and training
