Try and install as much as you can, a lot of folks are working with just one gig of RAM, it aint enough, you really need at least two gig, I have 4 gig in mine it helps my PC to muti-task much easier, I can run 3 or four programs simultaneously and process multi-files at the same time.

The processor accesses the free ram that's available and diverts the extra memory to your hard disc enabling your hard disc to work faster.
